Overview
Contact Extract is published by Molus Enterprises LLC, a Florida limited liability company ("we," "us" or "our"). Contact Extract extracts contact information from your email. You use it through our website or desktop app, and your email is processed on servers we operate.
Information We Process
Contact Extract processes the headers, text and folder lists of mailboxes you connect in order to extract contact information. It does not download attachments. Message text and subjects are processed in memory and are not stored except as listed below.
When you choose Outlook on this PC, the desktop app reads the Outlook mailbox you approve and sends selected message headers and text to our servers for extraction. Mail that was previously kept only on your PC therefore leaves the PC for this processing. The desktop app does not keep extracted contacts or a local copy of message text.
For supported IMAP mailboxes, the desktop app keeps your app password on your PC and sends it to our server only for a scan. If you schedule IMAP searches, we keep it on our server until you turn off or delete the schedule.
We store:
- Your account details, such as your email address and subscription status.
- The contacts extracted from your email and any corrections you make.
- For each message processed, its message ID, sender and date, so later scans skip mail already processed.
- The signature block each contact was extracted from, kept for a limited period.
- At your option, saved sign-ins for the mailboxes you connect, so you can scan again without reconnecting.
- Records used for security and other technical purposes, kept for a limited period.
- What you choose to send us, such as email sign-ups, feedback and bug reports, which may include diagnostic data from your scans.
Third-Party Services
When you consent for Contact Extract to connect to an email account, Contact Extract communicates directly with your email provider using read-only access. Contact Extract cannot send, delete, move or modify your email. You can revoke access at any time (see below). Your email provider's privacy policy also applies:

We use a small number of service providers to run Contact Extract, such as for hosting, network security, payment processing and email delivery. They process data only to provide their services to us. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your card details.
Google API Limited Use Disclosure
Contact Extract's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
- Data accessed through Gmail APIs is used solely to provide the contact extraction functionality visible in the application.
- It is not transferred to any third party, except as needed to provide that functionality with your consent, for security purposes, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets with your prior consent.
- It is not used for advertising, marketing or profiling, is not sold, and is not used to determine creditworthiness or for lending.
- It is not used to train artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
- No person reads it unless you agree (for example, by sending us a bug report) or it is required by law.
Data Security
We take reasonable steps to protect data stored by Contact Extract. All data is encrypted in transit using industry-standard algorithms. Your contacts, scan data and saved sign-ins are encrypted at rest. If you have any questions about data security, you can contact us at the email listed below.
If you enable scheduled searches, we keep that mailbox's sign-in and the schedule's settings so searches can run when you are not using Contact Extract.
Revoking Access and Deleting Data
You can revoke Contact Extract's access and delete its stored data at any time. Contact Extract provides the following controls:
- Remove a saved sign-in — removes the stored authorization for one connected mailbox without affecting other connected mailboxes.
- Clear data for a mailbox — deletes extracted contacts, working data and scan history for that mailbox only.
- Delete your account — deletes all your data and saved sign-ins in one step.
When you remove a Google sign-in or delete your account, Contact Extract also asks Google to revoke its access. Microsoft does not support this, so to revoke Microsoft access, and to be sure Google access is revoked, use your email provider's settings:
- Google: Visit Google Connected Apps and remove Contact Extract
- Microsoft: Visit Microsoft Account Permissions and remove Contact Extract
Trial data is deleted automatically after a period of inactivity. If your subscription ends, your data is deleted after a period unless you subscribe again. Deleted data is removed from backups within a limited period. We keep records we are required to keep by law, such as billing and tax records.
Your Rights
We process data on the basis of contract performance and, for security and fraud prevention, on the basis of our legitimate interests, as permitted under GDPR Articles 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(f). Nothing in this policy limits any rights you have under the mandatory data protection or consumer protection laws of your country of residence. If you are located in the EU or UK, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.
Sale and Sharing of Personal Information
Molus Enterprises LLC does not sell your personal information, and does not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or any other purpose, except to the extent disclosure is mandated by law (for example, in response to a valid subpoena, court order or other legal process). This applies regardless of how the terms "sell" or "share" are interpreted under the California Consumer Privacy Act, the California Privacy Rights Act or any other applicable law.
Children's Privacy
Contact Extract is not intended for persons under 18.
